Palworld developer Pocketpair may be in the middle of a legal battle against Nintendo and The Pokémon Companybut that hasn’t stopped its hit survival game from having a phenomenal first month on PS5.
Pal World made its PS5 debut in a surprise launch on September 26th in 68 countriesalthough a small delay meant that came to Japan a little later, on October 4. Clearly, many PlayStation owners were eager to try out the survival game because it is number one in October’s PS5 download charts in Japan and number 10 in the US and Canada, according toOfficial PlayStation Summary.
There was also fierce competition for these places. In Japan, he managed to beat Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero and Metaphor: ReFantazio – two huge October releases, as well as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the Silent Hill 2 redo and much more. The rankings in the US and Canada are quite different, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at the top and Undisputed in third, although Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is still in second place. Palworld also managed to beat Metaphor: ReFantazio for the second time to reach the top 10.
“Looks like Palworld didn’t do too bad on PS5 in October!” Palworld Community Manager and Game Designer Bucky writes on Twittersharing the graphics. “Thanks, PlayStation gamers!”
